TOKYOÏTE
COLORS

Victor Feillant began his career with street photography. Traveling across the world, he spent over 10 years capturing the countries he explored. From New York to Venice and all the way to Tokyo, he captures the colors and movements of these cities.

Today, he introduces his new project, "Tokyoïte Colors" A series of 21 photos showcasing Tokyo, its colors, and its inhabitants. He photographed Tokyo in February 2024. At the dawn of spring, cherry blossoms were already in bloom, Tokyoites were cycling, and the winter sun had filled the streets.

Victor discovered Tokyo through the love his husband has for this country. In 2019, he had the opportunity to visit the country for the first time, exploring its three main cities: Tokyo, Kyoto, and Osaka. During this journey, he was deeply moved by the power of its visuals.

"Tokyoïte Colors: a visual diary" is the first installment of a series the artist aims to create across various regions of Japan and the world. This series exists to encapsulate his obsession with color and life. Inspired by the country's richness, he works to convey the faces and the movement of the lives of the strangers he encounters.
